GERMAN FOR AUSTRIA'S ÖSD A1 EXAM
from verstehen — to understand
Every German word in the app opens like this.
You just read German — because your language was under every word. That's how you'll learn all of it.
A complete six-unit A1 course for the Austrian ÖSD exam, built for people who start from zero German — with the whole app in the language you already speak, one of 36.
Free to start. No credit card.
See how the exam rehearsal works ↓German sentence "Du verstehst das." — "You understand this." In the app, each word reveals its pronunciation and its meaning in your language.
If you're starting from zero, almost everything built to help you starts on the wrong side of the wall.
Language apps teach German for fun — food, colors, small talk — as if there were no exam standing between you and your life in Austria.
Courses teach German in German, to people who don't speak German yet.
And most of the rest assumes English is your language. Often it isn't.
Networia Learn starts where you actually are: no German yet, a whole life in another language, and one specific exam ahead.
So it begins by speaking yours.
Thirty-six interface languages, chosen for the people who actually move to Austria — Türkçe, srpski, hrvatski, bosanski, العربية, فارسی, پښتو, українська, română, magyar, polski among them. Four are written right-to-left, and the whole app turns with them.
And under every German word on screen: a dotted line. Tap it — hear the word, see what it means in your language. In lessons, in the Guidebook's vocabulary tables and grammar reference, everywhere. You're never left alone with a word you don't know.
Your language isn't a detour on the way to German. It's the road.
THE METHOD
A course can teach you German. This one also teaches you the exam — its formats, its order, its paper — until nothing about the day is new.
A complete A1 course laid out as a single path, from your first word to the full exam. No guessing what to study next — the path is the plan.
Every unit closes with an ÖSD rehearsal block: four lessons, one per exam module, in the real sitting order — Lesen (reading), Hören (listening), Schreiben (writing), Sprechen (speaking). Each rehearsal uses only the German you’ve already been taught. A fair test, every time.
Richtig/Falsch and Ja/Nein answers, labelled the way ÖSD labels them. Matching with one option too many, like the paper. Forms to fill in — a registration form, a listening notepad. Picture options, audio options, chat-style questions, sentence building, free writing, speaking. When the real booklet opens, the format is old news.
A full-length mock exam, assembled on the structure of the official ÖSD A1 sitting and graded by AI. You get an ÖSD-style result band — "Gut (B)", "Nicht bestanden" — a report card for every module, and a map of your strong and weak topics. Your recent sittings stay in your history: score, band, duration.
Whatever the mock exam finds weak, the course turns into targeted review and places inside your next lessons — automatically.
The more you test, the more it adapts to you.

SPRECHEN
Speaking is the module people fear most — and the one very few apps actually listen for. Networia Learn does: you say the German out loud, real speech recognition transcribes what you actually said, and you're scored against the target — even in spelling drills, where it understands German letter names and number words.
The exam's conversation task is practiced as a real back-and-forth: a scripted role-play for everyone, and on Premium, an AI partner that replies to what you actually said.
Every recording is read once for scoring and deleted before your result even returns — on every path, including errors. The audio and the transcript are never stored; only your score is kept. The microphone is used only with your explicit consent.
Practice out loud with no classroom, no audience, no record — until speaking German is just something you do.
Hearts that make you careful, streaks that bring you back, daily missions, badges, friend quests — and a weekly league that climbs from Bronze to Master. Enough play to make you show up tomorrow. Never so much that you forget why you’re here.
A real course, not a demo. The full path in shorter lessons, exam-format exercises, your language under every German word. Mistakes cost hearts; hearts come back with time. No credit card, no trial clock.

This page has no user counts, no star ratings, no pass-rate percentages. Networia Learn is new, and we'd rather show you the method than invent an audience for it.
Yes — you're exactly who this was built for. The app runs in your language (one of 36), and every German word on screen opens on tap: its sound, plus its meaning in your language. You're never asked to understand German in order to learn German.
The whole course is built around the Austrian ÖSD A1 exam. Every unit ends with a rehearsal block in the exam’s four modules — Lesen, Hören, Schreiben, Sprechen — in the real sitting order; the exercises use the paper’s own formats; and a full-length, AI-graded mock exam returns an ÖSD-style band with a per-module report card. Networia Learn is an independent product and is not affiliated with or endorsed by ÖSD.
It can listen — which is where speaking starts. You speak German out loud; real speech recognition transcribes it and scores it against the target. The exam’s conversation task is practiced as a real exchange: scripted for everyone, and with an AI partner that responds to what you said on Premium.
They’re deleted before your score even returns — on every path, including errors. The audio and the transcript are never stored; only the score is kept. The microphone is used only with your explicit consent.
Free is a real course: the full path in shorter lessons, exam-format practice, your language under every word. Mistakes cost hearts, and hearts come back with time; the free app shows some ads. You also earn gems by learning — through lessons and daily bonuses — and can spend them in the app, on a mock-exam sitting for example. Premium removes the limits: unlimited hearts, 2× XP, no ads, mock-exam sittings included, the adaptive speaking partner. Prices are shown in the app; nothing is charged to start.
One Premium subscription includes a second full seat. Send an invite code to the person learning with you and they get Premium too — one plan, two learners. The seat can be reassigned up to twice per billing period.
Thirty-six — including Türkçe, العربية, فارسی, پښتو, українська, srpski, hrvatski, bosanski, română, magyar and polski — and four of them written fully right-to-left, with the whole interface mirrored. The app, and the tap-to-see meaning under every German word, use the language you choose.
